Intro

Andrew was born on 3 April 1986 in Budapest. His father, János Karsai is a pantomime artist and master, his mother, Gizella Karsai is a pantomime artist and educator as well as a singer-songwriter. His parents became his first and most important mentors and artistic inspirations.
Andrew started his artistic education in 1994 at the CSIP children’s pantomime group led by his mother. During the six years he spent with the group he discovered his passion for stage performance.
In 1995 he played his first major theatrical role in Géza Gárdonyi’s The Invisible Man at the Gárdonyi Géza Theatre. 
In 2000 Andrew founded New Generation Pantomime Formation, his own pantomime group, appearing both as a performing artist as well as the choreographer and artistic director of the group. 
In 2005 Andrew began his studies at the Theatrum Drama School. In the 2005/2006 season he played the lead role in Shakespeare-Suda-Csirmaz’s play richard2nixon at Thália Theatre.
In 2006 Andrew gained admission to the Madách Theatre’s Musical School where he studied musical theatre acting, singing and dancing. He participated in the theatre’s major productions including The Phantom of the Opera, Producers, Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Anna Karenina. He graduated in 2009 as a Musical Actor. 
From 2007 he attended the Hungarian Dance Academy, receiving his BA in Dancer and Coach specialized in Modern Dance in 2010. 
In 2009 he founded Mimage Pantomime Theatre company with his sister and fellow pantomime artist Veronika Karsai. In the 2009/2010 season Andrew performed as dancer in Woman’s Desire and Fiddler on the Roof at Vígszínház, one of Budapest’s most respected theatres.
In 2010 Andrew became a permanent member of the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre’s ensemble where he performs as singer, dancer and actor. He played in a number of the theatre’s well-known and critically acclaimed productions such as Mozart!, Rebecca, Romeo and Juliet, Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saigon, The Threepenny Opera, Elisabeth and Ghost. In 2014 the theatre premiered American Comedy, a contemporary Hungarian musical in which Andrew took part as an assistant choreographer. He has been touring with the company’s Beauty and the Beast for several years. The famous Disney show has been an overwhelming success with sold-out performances in over 14 cities across 3 countries. The theatre’s annual season-launching Broadway Festival saw Andrew take the stage both as a performer and as music editor and choreographer of his productions. 
Music has played an incredibly important role in Andrew’s life since his early childhood, both as he discovered his passion for singing and as he grew in the sphere of dance and pantomime. He started composing his own original songs ten years ago, and in 2014 he made his debut in pop music with his first song Ultimate. After that he started to work on new music, and his next single Keep on Smiling was released in July 2015. The exclusive TV premiere of the song’s music video was on Music Channel, Hungary’s popular music television. His brand new single Splendor Avenue was released on Christmas day in 2015 and its official video premiere was also on Music Channel in January 2016.
